وَماذا عَلَيهِم لَو آمَنوا بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الآخِرِ وَأَنفَقوا مِمّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ وَكانَ اللَّهُ بِهِم عَليمًا

What harm would befall them if they believed in God and the Last Day, and donated from what God has provided them? God is fully aware of them.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَظلِمُ مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضاعِفها وَيُؤتِ مِن لَدُنهُ أَجرًا عَظيمًا

God doesn’t do injustice, even as much as an atom’s weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.

فَكَيفَ إِذا جِئنا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهيدٍ وَجِئنا بِكَ عَلىٰ هـٰؤُلاءِ شَهيدًا

How will it be, when We summon a witness from every community, and We bring you as a witness against these people?

يَومَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسولَ لَو تُسَوّىٰ بِهِمُ الأَرضُ وَلا يَكتُمونَ اللَّهَ حَديثًا

On that Day, those who disbelieved and defied the Messenger will wish they were leveled with the earth. They won’t be able to conceal anything from God.

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا لا تَقرَبُوا الصَّلاةَ وَأَنتُم سُكارىٰ حَتّىٰ تَعلَموا ما تَقولونَ وَلا جُنُبًا إِلّا عابِري سَبيلٍ حَتّىٰ تَغتَسِلوا ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَرضىٰ أَو عَلىٰ سَفَرٍ أَو جاءَ أَحَدٌ مِنكُم مِنَ الغائِطِ أَو لامَستُمُ النِّساءَ فَلَم تَجِدوا ماءً فَتَيَمَّموا صَعيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامسَحوا بِوُجوهِكُم وَأَيديكُم ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ عَفُوًّا غَفورًا

O you who believe, don’t approach prayer while intoxicated, until you know what you’re saying, nor while unclean—except when traveling—until you have bathed. If you are ill, on a journey, have relieved yourselves, or have been intimate with women, and can’t find water, find clean sand and wipe your faces and hands with it. God is Ever-Pardoning, Most Forgiving.

وَاللَّهُ أَعلَمُ بِأَعدائِكُم ۚ وَكَفىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَكَفىٰ بِاللَّهِ نَصيرًا

But God is better aware of your enemies, and God is a sufficient protector, and God is a sufficient helper.

مِنَ الَّذينَ هادوا يُحَرِّفونَ الكَلِمَ عَن مَواضِعِهِ وَيَقولونَ سَمِعنا وَعَصَينا وَاسمَع غَيرَ مُسمَعٍ وَراعِنا لَيًّا بِأَلسِنَتِهِم وَطَعنًا فِي الدّينِ ۚ وَلَو أَنَّهُم قالوا سَمِعنا وَأَطَعنا وَاسمَع وَانظُرنا لَكانَ خَيرًا لَهُم وَأَقوَمَ وَلـٰكِن لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِكُفرِهِم فَلا يُؤمِنونَ إِلّا قَليلًا

Among those who are Jewish, some distort words out of their contexts and say, “We hear and disobey,” and “Hear, but don’t listen,” and “Ra’ina,” twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. But if they had said, “We hear and we obey,” and “Listen,” and “Unzurna,” it would’ve been better for them and more upright. But God has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتابَ آمِنوا بِما نَزَّلنا مُصَدِّقًا لِما مَعَكُم مِن قَبلِ أَن نَطمِسَ وُجوهًا فَنَرُدَّها عَلىٰ أَدبارِها أَو نَلعَنَهُم كَما لَعَنّا أَصحابَ السَّبتِ ۚ وَكانَ أَمرُ اللَّهِ مَفعولًا

O you who were given the Scripture, believe in what We’ve revealed, confirming what’s already with you, before We obliterate faces and turn them backward or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers. God’s command is always executed.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَغفِرُ أَن يُشرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغفِرُ ما دونَ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشاءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشرِك بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ افتَرىٰ إِثمًا عَظيمًا

God doesn’t forgive the association with Him, but He forgives anything less than that to whom He wills. Whoever associates partners with God has devised a grave sin.

أَلَم تَرَ إِلَى الَّذينَ يُزَكّونَ أَنفُسَهُم ۚ بَلِ اللَّهُ يُزَكّي مَن يَشاءُ وَلا يُظلَمونَ فَتيلًا

Did you see those who claim purity for themselves? Instead, God purifies whom He wills, and they won’t be wronged even by the width of a thread.
