Verse 183
Quran.com ↗

O you who believe, fasting has been decreed for you, as it was for those before you, so that you may attain righteousness.

Verse 185
Quran.com ↗

Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed, as guidance for humanity, with clear signs of guidance, and the criterion. Whoever among you witnesses the month should fast it. But if anyone is ill or on a journey, then a number of other days. God intends ease for you, not difficulty. So complete the prescribed period, glorify God for guiding you, and express gratitude.

Verse 187
Quran.com ↗

During the nights of fasting, it is permissible for you to be intimate with your wives. They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. God knew that you used to deceive yourselves, so He relented towards you and forgave you. Now, approach them and seek what God ordained for you. Eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinguishable from the black thread. Then, complete the fast until nightfall. But don’t approach them while you’re in seclusion at the mosques. These are the limits of God, so don’t approach them. Thus God makes clear His ordinances to people, so they may become righteous.

Verse 184
Quran.com ↗

For a set number of days. However, if any of you is ill or on a journey, then on other days. And upon those who are able—a ransom of feeding a poor person. If you voluntarily do good, it’s better for you. And if you fast, it is better for you, if only you knew.

Verse 26
Quran.com ↗

So eat, drink, and find comfort. If you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Merciful, so I won’t speak to any person today.’”

Verse 31
Quran.com ↗

O Children of Adam, take your adornment at every place of prayer. Eat and drink, but don’t commit excesses, for He doesn’t like the extravagant.

Verse 226
Quran.com ↗

Those who vow to abstain from their wives have a waiting period of four months. If they reconcile, then indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.

Verse 4
Quran.com ↗

Whoever doesn’t find the means, he must fast for two consecutive months before they may touch each other. If he is unable, then he must feed sixty needy people. This is to affirm your faith in God and His Messenger. These are the limits God sets, and there is a severe punishment for the unbelievers.

Verse 17
Quran.com ↗

The patient, the truthful, the obedient, those who spend, and those who seek forgiveness at dawn.

Verse 35
Quran.com ↗

The submissive men and women, the believing men and women, the devout men and women, the honest men and women, the patient men and women, the humble men and women, the charitable men and women, the fasting men and women, the men and women who guard their chastity, and the men and women who frequently remember God—for them, God has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

Verse 2
Quran.com ↗

Stand in prayer at night, except for a little.

Verse 91
Quran.com ↗

Satan intends to incite enmity and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, preventing you from remembering God and prayer. Won’t you then abstain?

Verse 40
Quran.com ↗

But as for him who feared the position of his Lord, and restrained the soul from desires.

Fasting is a shield or protection from the fire and from committing sins. If one of you is fasting, he should avoid sexual relation with his wife and quarreling, and if somebody should fight or quarrel with him, he should say, 'I am fasting.' By Him in Whose Hands my soul is' The unpleasant smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk.
